Additional Information
For centuries, teak was recognized as the go-to standard for ocean-faring vessels and is still used on luxury boats and yachts because of its unmatched durability, weather resistance, pest resistance, and natural resistance to mold and mildew. These characteristics combined with its timeless beauty, low maintenance, and eco-friendliness make it the ideal wood for today’s outdoor furnishing needs. These unique benefits are the result of teak being one of the hardest, densest, strongest, and most durable hardwoods available. Teak wood is also naturally rich in oils and rubber, which grants it inherent resistance to moisture, decay, and pests. This remarkable resistance allows teak furniture to withstand the harshest of weather conditions, making it a perfect choice for outdoor dining sets, benches, chairs, and outdoor accessories. When teak is new, it has a beautiful rich, warm golden-brown color with naturally beautiful grain. Over time it will naturally, gracefully age into an elegant grey patina. To maintain the original hue, treat it with a sealer.

Outdoor Teak Care: Crafted from naturally durable teak, our furniture is built to provide years of outdoor enjoyment. Naturally rich in protective oils, teak is highly resistant to moisture, decay, and the elements. Over time, untreated teak will naturally weather from its warm honey color to an elegant silver-gray patina. This change is purely cosmetic and does not affect the wood’s strength or durability. Clean periodically with mild soap, water, and a soft brush, then allow the air to dry completely. Avoid pressure washing or harsh chemical cleaners, which can damage the wood fibers. To preserve the original golden color, apply a teak protector or sealer as directed. For maximum longevity, store or cover during extended periods of severe weather.
Indoor Teak Care: Beautiful, durable, and naturally rich in oils, teak is an excellent choice for interior furnishings. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and clean occasionally with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Wipe spills promptly and avoid prolonged exposure to standing water or excessive moisture. Keep furniture away from direct heat sources and extended periods of intense sunlight to help maintain its natura lfinish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. With simple care, your teak furniture will provide timeless beauty and lasting performance for years to come.
