Using a golf rangefinder is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Turn on the device: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on.
2. Aim the device: Look through the viewfinder or eyepiece and aim the device at the target you want to measure. For example, you might aim at the flagstick on the green or a bunker in the fairway.
3. Activate the laser: Once you have aimed at the target, press and hold the button on the device to activate the laser. The device will emit a laser beam that bounces off the target and returns to the device.
4. Read the distance: The rangefinder will calculate the distance and display it on the screen. Some devices will also vibrate or give an audible beep when it locks onto the target.
5. Make your shot: Use the distance reading to select the right club and make your shot.
